Wandroo ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you sign in through a third-party provider (Google, Apple, or Facebook), we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. We do not receive or store your password for these services.
Trip Data
We collect the content you create within the app, including trip plans, destinations, dates, suggestions, votes, and messages shared with trip collaborators.
Usage Data
We may collect anonymized usage data such as app interactions, crash reports, and performance metrics to improve the service.
Device Information
We may collect device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers for analytics and push notification delivery.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and maintain the Wandroo service
- Authenticate your identity and manage your account
- Enable collaborative trip planning with other users
- Send push notifications and email notifications about trip updates and activity
- Improve the app experience through analytics
- Respond to support requests and communicate with you
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information in the following circumstances:
- With trip collaborators: your name and profile picture are visible to others in shared trips
- With service providers: we use third-party services (e.g., Auth0 for authentication, Resend for email delivery, Cloudinary for image hosting, Sentry for error tracking, and cloud hosting) that process data on our behalf
- When required by law: we may disclose information in response to legal process or government requests
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure servers. Authentication tokens are stored using your device's secure storage (Keychain on iOS, EncryptedSharedPreferences on Android). We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Trip data is retained as long as the trip exists. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict processing of your data
- Request a portable copy of your data

7. Children's Privacy
Wandroo is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such data, we will take steps to delete it promptly.
8. Email Communications
Wandroo may send you email notifications related to your trips, such as invitations, trip updates, status changes, ownership transfers, and voting milestones. You can manage your email notification preferences at any time from the Profile screen in the app. Transactional emails (such as trip invitations and account deletion confirmations) may still be sent regardless of your notification preferences.
9. Third-Party Services
Our app integrates with third-party services including authentication providers (Auth0), email delivery (Resend), image hosting (Cloudinary), error tracking (Sentry), and cloud infrastructure. These services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
